Eccentric indie-pop musician Lawrence Arabia is teaming up with jazz ensemble Carnivorous Plant Society to live score 1928 film Lonesome as part of this year's New Zealand International Film Festival. The rarely-screened feature by Hungarian-born director Paul Fej?s is at its core a love story based in a Big Apple and was initially released as a silent film, but was re-released a few months later with a few additional scenes of dialogue to keep up with the "talkies" trend.
Screening Sunday 26th July at the beautiful Civic Theatre in Auckland, we have 2 x double passes up for grabs - log in/sign up and enter below to get in the draw.
