Did we think we’d ever see this?
"Not In This Lifetime" was Axl Rose’s comment four years ago on the chances of it happening.
Well now they’re back!
The ‘Not In This Lifetime’ Tour is classic Guns N’ Roses and these two stadium shows will go down as historical ‘I was there’ moments. Right up there with the biggest and most defining rock concerts in this country’s musical history.
The 1987 debut album Appetite For Destruction is the best selling US debut ever and in the six years across GnR’s first four albums being released there was barely a week when the Gunners were not in the New Zealand album charts! Guns N’ Roses Greatest Hits is one of the biggest selling albums in New Zealand of all time.
The Wellington show is at Westpac Stadium and will be one of the biggest shows the city has ever seen. David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, The Police and AC/DC are some of the previous highlights at the Cake Tin across the last two decades.
The Auckland show is set to be the biggest at Western Springs since Eminem in 2014 performed on a glorious summer days in February to a capacity crowd. Guns N’ Roses fans can make a real weekend of it with the show being on a Saturday (February 4th) and the Waitangi Day public holiday conveniently falling on the Monday (February 6th).
