SPECIFIC RULES
PROMOTION SUMMARY
1) NZME, producers of The Hits, and OneRoof Limited (“The Promoters”) are giving listeners the
chance to win the value of their rent or mortgage payments for 12 months (up to a total value of
$40,000) (“Grand Prize”) with The Hits Live Free Promotion (“Promotion”).
2) The Promotional Period starts at 6:00am on Tuesday 3rd April 2018 and ends at 7.00pm on
Monday 7th May 2018.
3) For a chance to enter the draw, simply listen each week day to The Hits Breakfast show, day
show, Drive show and Night show for your Live Free cue to call.
4) For each cue to call, the Promoter will select one eligible caller to be entered in the weekly draw
for a place in the final Grand Prize draw to take place at NZME’s iHeartRadio Lounge in Auckland
on Monday 7th May.
HOW TO ENTER AND WIN
1) To enter the weekly draw for the Promotion, participants must, during the Promotion Period:
(a) Be the first to successfully call through to The Hits studio at the correct time of day
when the cue to call for The Hits Live Free is announced on-air; and
(b) Be an eligible contestant to play under the Promoter’s General Terms and Conditions
below;
(c) Be available to attend, the final Prize draw to be held at NZME’s iHeartRadio Lounge
in Auckland on Monday 7th May.
2) Each weekly winner goes into the Final Grand Prize Draw, which will be made up of Five (5)
finalists selected at random by the Promoter.
3) The Promoter will attempt to contact the selected finalists a maximum of 2 times, using the
details provided at the time of entry. The entry will be forfeited after two failed attempts and the
Promoter reserves the right to redraw a new finalist.
4) Finalists will be required to provide the Promoter with information, including evidence of their
rent or mortgage payment obligations prior to the final. If this information is not provided
promptly when requested, the entry will be forfeit and the Promoter reserves the right to redraw
a new finalist.
5) The finalist will be required to attend the Grand Prize Draw event at NZME’s iHeartRadio Lounge
in Auckland on Monday 7th May.
6) For the Grand Prize draw, each finalist will be allocated a key at random and invited to the stage
to try and unlock a door. The finalist with the key that unlocks the door will be the winner of the
Grand Prize.
7) Contestants will be required to participate on-air. If the Promoter believes, in the Promoters
absolute discretion, that the Contestant may use offensive or inappropriate behaviour or
language, or the Contestant does anything that may damage the reputation of the Promoter, the

Promoter will be forfeit.
8)9)By entering the Promotion, participants consent to be photographed and filmed by the Promoter
for the purposes specified below and according to the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at
http://www.thehits.co.nz/info/privacy-policy/).
9)10) Participants grants the Promoter exclusive permission to use their name, photograph, voice
and film recordings in which they appear, in connection with the Promotion and for future
promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for
such use. This includes the right to use on the Promoter’s websites, Facebook pages, on Air and
other publications of the Promoter.
10)11) Any payment of a Prize will be arranged directly between the Promoter and the winner and
are subject to the winner promptly providing to the Promoter all correct information
requested.
PRIZE:
1) The value of the Winner’s rent or mortgage payment for a 12 month period (up to a total value of
$40,000. The actual value will be determined from the evidence the Winner provides for their
rent or mortgage payments due at the time of entry.
2) The prize money will be paid in equal instalments over 12 months, into the bank account
provided by the Winner.
OTHER
1.12) These terms and conditions, including the entry mechanism, Promotional Period and Prize, may
be amended at any time. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or extend the
Promotion at any time.
2.13) The Promoter will collect and use personal information from all entrants, contestants and
winners for the Promotion, according to the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at
http://www.thehits.co.nz/info/privacy-policy/). You have the right to request access to and
correction of your personal information (where such information is readily retrievable) by
contacting the Promoter at info@thehits.co.nz.
3.14) The Promoter will not be liable to any person in any way in relation to this Promotion including,
without limitation, any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to
indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury howsoever suffered or sustained, the
cancellation or postponement for any reason of the Grand Prize and the quality of goods or
services supplied by any third party, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
4.15) Entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.
5.16) Any attempt to resell or auction all or any part of this prize will result in an immediate
cancellation of the prize.
