He has written one previous book, a biography of Maori cyclist Bill Pratney: Never Say Die (Kennett Bros). Robinson’s own sport has seen more than 30 years of enthusiasm for running, road cycling and mountain biking. In the mid-2000s, he learned how to paddle, took up multisport and still races.
