- Instructions on how to enter this competition form part of the conditions of entry. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions.
- The promoter is Microsoft Pty Limited (ACN 002 589 460) of 1 Epping Road, North Ryde, New South Wales, 2113.
- Entry is open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 18+ who have a passport that is valid for at least the next six (6) months from the commencement of the Promotional Period. Employees and their immediate families of the promoter, its retailers, suppliers and associated companies and agencies are not eligible to enter. Entrants warrant that they are medically fit and healthy, and have no pre-existing conditions or illnesses that would impact their ability to take part in the prize.
- The competition commences at 20 Nov 2018 at 11am AEDT and closes at 25 Nov 2018 at 11:59pm AEDT (“Promotion Period”).
- To enter, entrants must, during the Promotion Period, go to the Surface Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/Surface/) and fill out all elements of the entry form pinned to the top of the page including telling us in 25 words or less what makes you anything but ordinary.
- The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant whom the promoter believes either has tampered with the entry process or has submitted an entry otherwise than in accordance with these conditions of entry.
- All valid entries received during the Promotion Period will be reviewed by the judging panel. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entrant will be individually judged based on originality, creativity, and how well they answer the entry question (“Judging Criteria”).
- The two entries deemed to be the best by the Microsoft judging panel will win one of two prizes:
- a) An experience for two at Fox Glaciers, NZ from 30/11/18 to 3/12/18 including an overnight experience at the Fox Glaciers, Chancellor Hut. Flights to and from the winners nearest capital city (return economy flights) to Christchurch New Zealand, Air transfer to and from the Fox Glaciers township departing and returning to Christchurch New Zealand, One night accommodation at Fox Glacier Chancellor Hut, Two nights accommodation in the Fox Glacier township, Meals and beverages will be covered upon landing in New Zealand until your return to Australia – to the value of $150 AUD per day per person. Total number prizes = one (1). Total prize value = $16,400 AUD. Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. Prize is subject to availability of flights, accommodation or other forms of bookings. Travel arrangements are at the promoter’s discretion and dependent on the winner’s nearest Australian capital airport. Days of travel or activity cannot be transferred unless dictated by the weather or Microsoft. The winner's guest must be 18 years or over.
- In the event that that the experience is delayed by 24 hours due to weather, Microsoft will cover the cost of additional accommodation and flight changes as part of the experience. They will also cover additional activities in Fox Glacier during the day of Saturday 1st December 2018 to the value of $1200NZDp/p. This may result in the experience extending to the 4/12/2018. In the event that the experience is cancelled due to weather, or any other factor – Microsoft will arrange supplementary activities which the winners can choose from. Microsoft will cover the costs for these supplementary activities.

- b) An overnight experience for two at Wolfe Creek, WA from 6/12/18 to 11/12/18 including: return flights to Broome, return charter flights to Halls Creek, five (5) nights accommodation, and all meals during the experience period. Total number prizes = one (1) Total prize value = $36,360 AUD. Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. Travel arrangements are at the promoter’s discretion and dependent on the winner’s nearest Australian capital airport. Prize is subject to availability of flights, accommodation or other forms of bookings. - If the promoter is unable to supply the nominated prize, the promoter reserves the right to supply another prize of greater or equal value.
- All extra activities, spending money and all other ancillary costs not expressly provided, as well as obtaining any of these, are the responsibility of the winner. In the event that the winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.

- In the event that a prize is not claimed by 27 Nov 2018 11:59pm AEDT the judges will select an alternate winner on the basis of the Judging Criteria. In the event that the alternate winner does not claim their prize by 28 Nov 2018 11:59pm AEDT the judges will select an alternate winner on the basis of the Judging Criteria. If the second alternate winner does not claim their prize by 29 Nov 2018 11:59pm AEDT the prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other prize will be awarded in lieu of that prize.
- Before the prize is awarded, the winner and any other person sharing the prize with the winner will be required to sign a form to release the promoter from, and indemnify the promoter against, any and all liability arising from the use or participation in the prize.
