Think roller skates, milkshakes and rock ‘n’ roll as the mood is set around the museum with vintage car displays, period movies and TV shows, live performances and much more. Treat Mum to a special fifties-style make over at MOTAT’s pop-up beauty parlour, while the rest of the family can get into the spirit of things with vintage-style temporary “I love Mum” tattoos to commemorate the special day. Vintage fashion shows scheduled throughout the day and roving musicians will ensure there’s a surprise around ever corner. Other activities include retro dance lessons, vintage market stalls and quick-draw sketch portraits. Top it all off with classic hot dogs or pink and white ice-cream sundaes and you’re guaranteed a nostalgic day out the whole family will enjoy.
