To say we're excited to see Gareth Evans follow up his five star action flick, 2011's The Raid, with this epic-sounding sequel is a massive understatement. Imagine how freaking delighted we are to be hosting advance previews of The Raid 2: Berandal!
Evans has gone big by all accounts, expanding the setting, scope, violence, stunts, narrative and running time of the first. And the weapons – which as glimpsed in the trailer include knives, baseball bats, hammers, batons, motor vehicles and guns alongside the expected feet and fists. Initial critical response to this action-packed crime epic has been glowing – sample quote: “The best action sequel since Terminator 2”. We cannot wait.
This Wellington screening takes place on Monday March 17th at The Roxy cinema, Miramar at 8.30pm. This screening is strictly R18 and ID will be required.
