THE PRIZE
The festival that captures the hearts and minds of New Zealanders is back in May 2016. The 11th Documentary Edge International Film Festival – New Zealand’s only and Australasia’s premiere international documentary film festival – runs at Wellingon’s Roxy Cinema from May 4-15 before heading to Auckland’s Q Theatre from May 18-29 with a selection of international and home-grown documentaries chosen to provide a range of styles and stories. Documentary Edge Festival is now an Oscar-qualifying festival, which means that films that win Best International Short or Best New Zealand Short can now be considered for Academy Award nominations. The Listener has two double passes to attend 10 films in the festival to give away.
