International superstar Andr? Rieu is thrilled to be returning to New Zealand with a brand new Arena Tour 2016.

Along with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, Andr? has created a global revival in waltz music, staging spectacular extravaganzas which are second to none. Andr? Rieu: “I am so much looking forward to finally coming back to Christchurch for the first time in five years and to Auckland after three years. I remember well the first time I performed in New Zealand and Australia. It felt like people were waiting for us to come for a long time and they gave us such a warm welcome,” he says. “I have never experienced that anywhere else and I can’t wait to see you all again in 2016.”
On 13th November Andr? released his brand new album Roman Holiday (Universal Music) which features well-loved favourites such as Gabriel’s Oboe, Mascagni’s famous intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana, Mattinata, Felicit?, Arrivederci Roma and excerpts from Verdi’s La Traviata and Puccini’s Madama Butterfly as well as his 2015 Maastricht DVD Wonderful World (Universal Music).
On stage Andr?’s incredible musical prowess, passion, charisma and humour make for a magical spectacle. His romantic and fun concerts are the only ones where people regularly jump to their feet and dance in the aisles. It’s not uncommon to see devoted New Zealand fans laughing, weeping, clapping, dancing and embracing as Andr? and his orchestra belt out the most beautiful waltzes, classics from the world of opera, film and folk music, as well as iconic songs like Waltzing Matilda (even though it’s Australian, New Zealand fans still love this classic!).
