Who can enter the Iconic Auckland Eats – People’s Choice Competition?

Only New Zealand residents who are 18 years and over at the time of entry into the Competition can enter. Employees of Restaurant Hub Ltd, TAU, and agencies associated with the Competition and their immediate families are not eligible.

When does the Competition start and end?

The Competition commences on 16 October 2023 at 00:01 and ends on 16 November 2023 at 23:59.

How can one enter the Competition?

To enter, entrants must complete the TAU 'Iconic Auckland Eats' nomination form online at www.iconiceats.co.nz or through the Iconic Auckland Eats Facebook or Instagram links.

How many times can one nominate a dish?

Only one nomination per dish, per eatery, per person will be counted. Entrants can nominate different dishes, and nominations for dishes at different eateries will be counted.

How will the Winner be chosen?

The Winner will be selected out of the valid entrants by a team of moderators based on the story about the dish provided on their nomination form.

When will the Winner be announced?

The Winner will be decided on November 17, 2023, and will be notified by email no later than 15 December 2023. The winner's announcement will be made at the time of the announcement of the 100 Iconic Eats, no later than 15 February 2024.

What happens if the Winner doesn’t respond or declines the prize?

If TAU does not hear from the Winner within 5 days of the email notification or if there are issues contacting the Winner, TAU reserves the right to decide another Winner. If the Winner declines the Prize, it is forfeited, and TAU may decide another Winner.

What is the prize?

The prize consists of 100 vouchers, allowing the Winner to enjoy all 100 Iconic Eats without charge for a 12-month period from the date of notification.

Can the prize be exchanged or transferred?

The prize cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, service, is not transferable to any other person, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. If part of the prize becomes unavailable, TAU reserves the right to amend or cancel the prize at its discretion.

What if the chosen Iconic Eat is unavailable?

If an Iconic Eats Top 100 Dish is unavailable, the venue reserves the right to offer an alternative of the same value.

How will the Winner's privacy be handled?

Upon accepting the prize, the Winner's first name and surname will be promoted on platforms including TAU Communications, email newsletters, Restaurant Hub, and social media. The Winner consents to participate in promotional activities related to the Competition. Personal information is collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

Who is responsible for the Competition?

The Promoter is TAU, and the competition is managed on behalf of TAU by Restaurant Hub Ltd.
