Win the chance to have a go at cable wakeboarding - Taupo Wake Park are hosting the Revert Cable Competition on Saturday 18 March, so at The Hits Taupo 96.8 we're giving you the chance to have a go at cable wakeboarding! DON'T PANIC - you're not gonna be entered in the comp... Listen to Paul Hickey on The Hits this week between 9am and 3pm to try to win! The Beginner Package' is valued at $80, and they guarantee will have you riding like a professional in no time, The lesson package includes 10-min ride time, wakeboard, lifejacket and radio helmet. There are no age limits, as long as you are comfortable in the water. They have been operating in a man made lake beside the Waikato River, and has a cable system run by an electric motor, a cable runs between 2 towers with a ski handle pulling you. This becomes a big continuous figure 8 course.
