Flaxmere Garden: 50 Years of Extremes, published in October and available at flaxmeregarden.co.nz, tells Penny Zino’s inspirational story of creating the garden, battling with the extreme climate and overcoming personal challenges to create the 3.2 hectare garden that attracts about 4000 visitors from New Zealand and around the world each year.
