It is 50 BC and all of Gaul is occupied by the Romans … All? No. A single village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders. Exasperated by the situation, Julius Caesar decides to change tactics due to his armies being unable to conquer by force. It is Roman civilization itself that will seduce these barbaric Gauls. He builds a luxury estate next to the village: “The Mansions of the Gods.” Can our Gallic friends resist the lure of money and Roman comfort? Will their village become a mere tourist attraction? Asterix and Obelix will do anything to thwart Caesar’s plans.
