Who can enter the competition?

Anyone aged 18 years or older can nominate a school for the competition.

When does the competition close?

The competition closes at 1600 on Thursday, 19 October 2023.

How can one enter the competition?

Participants can enter by visiting TVNZ’s Breakfast Facebook page and following the provided link, or by directly heading to www.winwithbreakfast.co.nz and following the registration instructions. Only one entry is allowed per person.

What is the prize?

The prize is an underwater VR experience, specifically the BLAKE NZ-VR programme visit for five schools across New Zealand. Eligible schools must have students in Years 5 - 10. Each winning session can accommodate a maximum of 30 students.

What is the total worth of the prize?

The terms do not specify an exact monetary value for the prize.

How will the winners be chosen and notified?

Winners will be drawn and contacted by Westpac New Zealand. All winners will be informed by 1700 on Thursday, 19 October 2023. The winning schools will be announced live on-air on Friday, 20 October at approximately 0855.

Who is responsible for delivering the prize?

Westpac New Zealand will manage the redemption of the prize directly with the winners. TVNZ is running the competition in partnership with Westpac New Zealand but is not responsible for any failure of Westpac New Zealand to deliver the prize.

Are there any conditions related to the privacy of entrants?

Yes, personal information of the entrants will be collected and used in accordance with the Privacy Policy of both TVNZ and Westpac New Zealand. By participating, entrants authorize the use of their personal data for the purposes described in the privacy policies of both entities.

What happens if the winner cannot be contacted or is ineligible?

If a winner cannot be reached within 48 hours of the prize draw, another winner will be chosen. If a winner is found to be ineligible or is disqualified for any reason, another winner will be selected.

Can the prize be exchanged for cash or transferred?

No, prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, unless the prize itself is cash. Prizes are personal to winners and cannot be transferred without agreement. If a winner cannot accept the prize for any reason, it may be awarded to another participant.
