Conditions of Entry and Competition Rules
1. These Conditions of Entry and Competition Rules apply to the Celine Dion in Las Vegas
promotion with Newstalk ZB to be held between 21st May 2018 and ending on 31st May
2018. Newstalk ZB (a Station of NZME) will conduct the promotion. New Zealand Media
and Entertainment (NZME) reserves the right to add and/or delete participating stations at
any time.
2. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry and
Competition Rules. NZME reserves the right to exclude any person from the contest on
the grounds of criminal record.
3. How to enter: Every weekday at approximately 8.20am, 10.20am, 2.20pm and 5.20pm
listeners will be invited to call 0800 80 10 80 to get into the draw to win a trip for two (2)
people to see Celine Dion perform at a concert on Friday 8th June 2018 in Las Vegas,
USA. A listener will be taken to air and asked a question and they must answer correctly
within the introduction of a Celine Dion song, before the vocals commence. If they fail to
answer or answer incorrectly, the entrant is out of the running. No other caller will be
taken to air until the next scheduled contesting set. A prize draw will take place on the
morning of Friday 1st June 2018 within the Mike Hosking Breakfast Show with the winner
being contacted on-air by phone between 7am and 8.30am during the programme.
4. The prize will consist of:
? Two (2) return economy class flights to Las Vegas from anywhere in New
Zealand departing Auckland on Thursday 7th June 2018.
? One (1) hotel room for four-nights’ accommodation in Las Vegas (hotel to be
advised)
? Two (2) front orchestra tickets to the Celine Dion performance at The
Colosseum, Caesars Palace on Friday 8th June 2018.
? $NZ2000 cash to cover transfers/meals/insurance/ESTA etc.
5. Additional travel expenses, including but not limited to additional meals, excursions, pre
or post ‘prize’ accommodation, transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and
all other ancillary costs are not included. Winner and their guests must take all elements
of the prize at the same time.
6. Winner must provide full name and passport details of both travelers by 5pm Friday 1st
June 2018.
7. Winner and their guests must be in possession of valid passport and arrange
visas/ESTAs if necessary and travel insurance prior to departure on Thursday 7th June
2018.
8. If winner and travelling companions are from outside Auckland, domestic flights will be
provided from the nearest Air New Zealand serviced domestic airport. Transport to and
from these airport locations will be at the expense of the traveler/s.
9. Any changes made to the prize by the prize winner or their travel companions, including
extending the trip, are at the winner’s expense and must be arranged by the winner.
10. Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
11. Air New Zealand flight means a flight that is ticketed and operated by Air New Zealand
and does not include airshare or codeshare flights with an “NZ” prefixed flight number. All
prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand’s Conditions of Carriage, to view visit
https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/conditions-of-carriage. Prize travel will not be eligible to
accrue Airpoints Dollars™ or Status Points and cannot be used in conjunction with Air
New Zealand’s Airpoints™ Programme or any other carriers’ frequent flyer schemes.
12. The judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. Only one entry per person.
14. Employees of NZME - This promotion's participating sponsors and their advertising
agencies, employees of other radio stations and members of their immediate families are
not eligible to participate and win. The term “immediate families” include spouses,
Grandparents, Parents, Children, and Grandchildren whether by marriage, past
marriages, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other family extension.
15. NZME disclaims any responsibility for the inability to complete or continue an entry due to
equipment malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection, acts of God or otherwise.
Participants are restricted to the use of ordinary telephone and/or computer equipment.
16. To the extent permitted by law, NZME or any other person or party associated with this
promotion will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited
to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury as a result of the prizes.
17. By participating, all winners grant NZME exclusive permission to use their names,
characters, photographs, voices and likeness in connection with promotion of this and
other contests and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.
18. All personal details provided to participate in these promotions will be held by NZME for
the purpose of this promotion and entries may be used by the NZME for future
promotional and marketing purposes, unless otherwise advised by entrants.
19. NZME reserves the right to refuse awarding any prize to a person who is determined to
have violated a NZME rule as outlined above, gained unfair advantage in participating in
the promotion or obtained a winner status using fraudulent means.
20. Rules may be amended from time to time by employees of NZME. NZME reserves the
right to discontinue a promotion at any stage.
