Win a prize-winning 'Looking Good' rose New Zealand Gardener

Pacific Rose Bowl Festival winning rose 'Looking Good' bred by Rob Somerfield.
Kiwi-bred roses swept the board at the Pacific Rose Bowl Festival at Hamilton Gardens in November.
The winning rose was 'Looking Good' bred by Rob Somerfield of Glenavon Roses in Tauranga. It was a fourth win at the Pacific Rose Bowl Festival for Rob Somerfield, who took the NZ Rose of the Year prize with 'Looking Good'. It was also named Best Floribunda, Best NZ-raised Rose and Children's Choice in the awards, which are held in Hamilton Gardens every November. The winners are chosen by public vote, and 'Looking Good' was certainly a crowd-pleaser, with its eye-popping pink colour and floriferous nature – there are so many blooms on each stem that there are only three stems in the vase pictured! Bred from 'Anniversary' and 'Sky Tower' (which is also Rob's), the rose will be available at Mitre 10 this winter, with $20 from each rose sold going to Look Good, Feel Better, a charity supporting people going through cancer treatment.
