What are your top 5 essential wardrobe items?
Skinny jeans, a fabulous pair of heels that make you feel sexy and glamorous, a good quality cotton white t-shirt, a tapered suit jacket and any Kagi pearl necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings – simple, classy, laid back and ultimately elegant. The kind of look that works for breakfast, lunch, dinner, a board meeting, or drinks with the girls after work.
What is the one statement piece you own and LOVE, or would LOVE to own?
My Kagi constellation necklace, itis one of only 100 limited edition pieces from the collection we made. The pieces are individually numbered and mine is the #1. When I designed it, I was inspired by the universe and the endless night sky, so it is embellished with 595 handset cubic zirconias.
What attracts you to a statement item?
Elegance, Glamour and a LOT of sparkle! I look for really timeless statement pieces, I’m not into updating my wardrobe each season with disposable fashion and new up to the minute trends, I love collecting really elegant, timeless pieces for my wardrobe that I can wear for decades to come. That I can mix and match, layer and wear together, that all work with each other seamlessly.
What is the biggest trend you’re getting into this summer?
Resort style dressing with bright and flowing maxi dresses. I love mixing these up with layers of gems, pearls and metallics around my neck or on my wrist. I love that the rules of either wearing silver OR gold have been thrown out the window and women are embracing wearing mixed metals of silver, gold and rose gold – all combined together in their own unique and individual way.
What is the one piece of style advice you’d give nzgirls?
Every women has what it takes to be fabulous, so let your own style shine, as no-one does you better than you. Don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun with accessorising. Be unique, be you, be authentic and individual and abide by no one else’s rules other than your own.
