GreenSmart planters have a unique self-watering system for organic home gardeners who have limited space, time or skills. The GreenSmart Pot ensures rapid plant growth with minimum effort. It has a transparent water level indicator allowing the water reservoir level to be monitored.
Plants draw water up out of the reservoir by capillary action through a series of tubes that are packed tightly with potting mix to create wicks for the water.

The planters are available in two sizes – one holds half a bag of potting mix plus eight litres of water in the reservoir. The larger one holds one bag of potting mix and has a 12-litre reservoir. There is a choice of green, black or cream.
They are constructed from rigid plastic that is certified as being suitable for food contact. The plastic contains a UV retardant to reduce risk of sun damage.
