Be in to win your favourite Coromandel experience by completing our Communications Survey (click on the link on the left hand side of this page) "We've formulated a Communications Survey because we want to get a better understanding of how people are receiving news and information and also how we can do a better job of letting people know about what's happening in and around Council," says Communications and Marketing Manager Laurna White. The Communications Survey is being marketed through all the different channels we use to share news and information. This includes the monthly adverts we have in all the local newspapers, radio, social media including our facebook and twitter feeds, our official Council website and enewsletters, which people can subscribe to. "Getting feedback on this will give us a clearer idea of where people are getting Council news and also how they want to receive information," says Mrs White. "We'll also be able to find out what topics and issues are searched more than others." With more than half of our ratepayers living outside the District our Communications Team needs to be able to connect effectively with many different audiences in a multitude of ways. We also want to look at how we can improve and update our TCDC website to make it easier for you use and search for the things you are most interested in. So please fill in our communications survey and tell us what we do well, what we could do better and you will be in to win your choice of a Coromandel experience for two. The winner can choose one of these three packages: Package 1 - Leisure. A return trip on the 360 Ferry from Auckland to Coromandel including a walking tour with Coromandel Coastal Discovery and dinner at the Pepper Tree Restaurant in Coromandel Town. Package 2 - Relax. Enjoy a pamper package at The Lost Spring with dinner at Salt Restaurant in Whitianga. Package 3 - Adventure. Rope down Sleeping God Canyon in the dramatic Kauaeranga Valley with dinner at the GBD Restaurant in Thames. "We want to thank Destination Coromandel and all the local businesses who donated prizes," says Mrs White. "The winner will be drawn and contacted no later than 1 October 2014."
