This up to the minute romance is set in the present day, on Banks Peninsula, Canterbury.
Rosa buys property near Pigeon Bay, and as the story unfolds the reader is treated to a tour of the area, as visits are made to Le Bons Bay, Little Akaloa, Akoroa and Duvauchelles; there are even flying visits to post earthquake Christchurch.
Following the tried and tested formula for romantic novels the heroine, in an attempt to get a fresh start following a failed relationship moves to the country, where she meets Jack, the man of her dreams.
True love doesn't run smoothly and there are a series of misunderstandings before the pair eventally talk openly to each other, misunderstanding are resovled, and the story has what is hoped will be a happy ever after ending.
For those who love a good romance this book is an entertaining weekend read. The tour of the attractions of Banks Peninsular is a well researched bonus.
