What I really love about a good book is when it takes me on a trip down memory lane, and this book does just that. Not only does it give you all the history of the introduction of new appliances and gadgets, it also gives you a picture of the original advert from when it was launched and a typical weekly menu with recipes from the era!! You will laugh at the colours, muddy greens, browns and orange, the wonderfully huge wallpaper patterns and all the time saving gadgets that your Mum probably still has and that you see at every garage sale...
It's a lovely book for any age, beautifully set out and interesting to see that so many of the items are still around, still working and still useful!
