If you’re crowned The Edge 30 Protégé, you could start your own career in radio with all of your fees paid for at the NZ School of Radio based in sunny Tauranga. Not only that, your accommodation will also be covered and you receive $1,000 spending money to spend on all of that, stationary...
If you’re wanting to get into radio, this is the way to do it. The 20 week course is intensive, hands on and has full access to the industry with a constant flow of guest speakers and real station work experience.

THE EDGE 30 PROTEGE PROMOTION TERMS & CONDITIONS
PROMOTION SUMMARY
1. The Edge 30 Protege competition allows the entrant to go in the draw to win scholarship for a
course at the NZ School of Radio in Tauranga, with accommodation provided.
HOW TO ENTER
2. The Promotion Period begins on Tuesday 3rd of April, 2018 and runs until Friday the 20th of
April 2018 unless stated otherwise.
3. Entry is via The Edge website. Listeners can register online at www.theedge.co.nz. Where
they can download a pre-appointed Edge logo to be used on any content created, alongside
the hashtag #TheEdge30Protege.
4. Participants can print the logo and promote it wherever they wish.
5. Participants can prove their entry by uploading it to their own social media channels
(Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter or Instagram) and include the hashtag #TheEdge30Protege
6. The winner will be determined in the third week of contesting via a facebook poll and The
Edge 30 hosts Marty & Steph. The Edge reserves the right to determine the final winner.
THE PRIZE
7. The Winner will be selected and called via phone.
8. The Major Prize consists of:
a. A 20 week course free of charge (valued at $8,050) at the NZ Radio School in
Tauranga, Level 1, 30-34 Grey St, Tauranga 3141. The winners scholarship at
NZSOR would start semester 1; Jan 29th - June 14th 2019
b. Accommodation for the 20 week period located, 5a Windermere Drive, Poike,
Tauranga. If redeemed, private board accommodation dates from Jan 26th - June
16th 2019 Value $170/wk includes Rent, Power, Gas, Water, Off-street parking,
Limited Fiber Internet (all details & photos can be found at

c. One thousand dollars prize money
d. The winner will be required to pay for extra food costs, lunches, buses, travel costs to
the course, work experience and internships.
e. If the winner is outside of Tauranga, they will be required to relocate and fund any
travel and moving costs themselves.
9. Please note the Prize is non-transferable and can not be forfeited for cash.
