Win a $10,000 Shopping Spree

By entering the Love Local Shop and Win Competition consumer competition, you accept the Love Local Competition Terms and Conditions set out below (Terms).
The Promoter of these competitions is Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency Limited (t/a WellingtonNZ) (Level 1, 175 Victoria Street, Wellington, New Zealand).
Employees of WellingtonNZ, participating retailers and experiences and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter these competitions.
If the winner of the prize is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s nominated parent or guardian.
Love Local Shop and Win Competition
Opens 12.01am on 1 October 2021 and will close at 11.59pm on 31 October 2021 (The Competition Period).
To enter the competition, you must complete all mandatory fields of the online entry form.
One winner will be randomly chosen from all eligible entries.
Only entries cast between 12.01am on 1 October 2021 and will close at 11.59pm on 31 October 2021 will be valid.
The winner of the competition will be randomly selected from the eligible entries on 2 November 2021 at the offices of WellingtonNZ, Level 1, 175 Victoria Street, Wellington, New Zealand, and will be notified by email or phone that day. If the winner does not confirm acceptance of their prize by 3pm NZST, 9 November 2021, a second prize draw will be undertaken. In the event of a second prize draw, if the new winner drawn does not respond to their winner’s notification email within a reasonable time (determined by The Promoter), a third prize draw will be undertaken, and so on until the winner is finalised.
The winner’s names and photo may be published on WellingtonNZ.com, social media and in any associated newsletters or websites of the Promoters and/or its associated sponsors or agents.
The winner must be able to provide proof of purchase to redeem the prize; this can be in the form of:
A physical receipt or digital copy of the receipt associated with the store indicated in the winner’s entry form or
A bank statement which shows evidence of a purchase at the store indicated in the winner’s entry form
One prize will be offered to the winner of the competition draw:
A $10,000 shopping spree to participating registered retailers of the winner’s choice, chosen from the participating retailers in the 2021 Love Local Shop and Win competition.
A maximum of $2000 may be used (from the $10,000 prize) if the winner is based outside of the Wellington Region for travel expenses.
A maximum of $2000 (from the $10000 prize) may be used on accommodation expenses
By accepting the prize, the prize winner consents to The Promoter using his/her details and photographs for promotional and media publicity purposes and consents to participate in any publicity arrangements (including interviews) reasonably required by The Promoter.
Except as set out in the prize packages above, all other expenses, such as transfers to and from the retail store or airport, and any other ancillary costs of taking up the prize will be at the winners’ own expense.
The prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
The Promoter and their associated agents act only as agents or resellers for other parties (suppliers) who provide the component parts of this prize package. Individual suppliers’ standard policies and terms and conditions apply to the prize package components. All tickets, coupons and exchange orders issued in respect of any prize package component provided are subject to the individual supplier’s terms and conditions.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for an individual supplier’s failure to supply the prize for any reason, or in the form expected, and are not obliged to provide an alternative prize or take legal action to require the supplier to carry out their obligations.
Prize components are subject to change by The Promoter and the individual suppliers without notice.
All prize components are non-refundable for cash either in part or in whole and are not transferable to any persons, unless agreed in writing by The Promoter.
Prizes must be redeemed by Thur 30 June 2022, any unused allocation will be unavailable following this date.
The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify an entrant who it considers to be ineligible or who tampers with the competition entry or draw process, or who fails to comply with these Terms.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered or inflicted by you (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) in connection with this competition. Due diligence is carried out to ensure the providers used in our competitions have health and safety measures in place at the time of promotion. We recommend contacting the product provider(s) to confirm any details and to ensure their latest initiatives comply with all Health & Safety and regulatory requirements ahead of taking up your prize.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of New Zealand. You agree that the Courts of New Zealand shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute which may arise in connection with these Terms, unless otherwise agreed by The Promoter.
If when you entered the prize draw and you chose to receive WellingtonNZ’s eNewsletters you may unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each newsletter.
Personal information collected is strictly for the purposes of entry and subscription to WellingtonNZ’s eNewsletters. All other information collected about a participant shall be destroyed within a reasonable time from after the completion of the promotion.
The Promoter respects privacy rights under the Privacy Act 1993 and will comply with the privacy principles in relation to the collection of any personal information from individuals entering this competition.
