Renee & Bryn Under the Stars DVD
Bryn Terfel – A gala evening with the NZSO in May featured Bryn Terfel, one of the greatest bass-baritones of our times. Bryn sang Wagner arias, musical theatre and traditional Welsh songs in a concert that was a season highlight for many. In this DVD, recorded at Byrn’s own Faenol Festival in Wales, he is joined by Ren?e Fleming for a concert of opera and musical theatre gems.

Osmo V?nsk?. We have one boxed set featuring all six of Karl Nielsen’s Symphonies, conducted by Osmo V?nsk? and performed by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
John Adam’s Harmonielehre CD
Hear and Far was a new concert series for 2013, placing the best of contemporary New Zealand composition alongside the best of the world. The ‘world’ contribution this season was
John Adam’sHarmonielehre. The Dominion Post described it as ‘one of the undoubted masterpieces of late 20th century music. …what we get here is an astonishing work – a work that glitters with relentless rhythms one minute and glows with a neo romantic yearning the next.’ We have three CD copies of Harmonielehre to give away. Recorded by the City of Birmingham City Orchestra and conducted by Simon Rattle, this recording carries a Gramophone Classical Music Guide seal of recommendation.
Daniel M?ller-Schott 3-CD prize bundle
Echoes of Home was our first tour of 2013 and
Daniel M?ller-Schott thrilled audiences across New Zealand with Dvorak’s Cello Concerto. We have a special 3-CD bundle of Daniel M?ller-Schott recordings to give away – including Britten’s Cello Suites and the Elgar, Walton, Beethoven and Haydn Cello concertos.
Ballet Favourtites 3-CD Box setIn 2013, the NZSO returned to the orchestra pit for the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s 60th Anniversary tour of
Swan Lake. We have a 3-CD compilation
Ballet Favourites to give away. As well as excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, this compilation includes excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty, Ravel’s Bolero, Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet and – just in time for Christmas – The Nutcracker.
