One of the world’s best business thinkers, motivators and speakers is coming to Howick [in September to present a four-hour, game-changing seminar for small business owners and operators.
The four times TED Talks presenter, Paul Dunn, will share his globally respected insights on his specialist subject – inspiring small business owners to achieve business success and help others in the process.
Unleash the Huge Power of Small to build an Amazing Business in these Amazing Times is hosted by Kirsten Hawke, CEO of the East Tamaki-based business advisory company, BUSINESS buddy.
As well as wanting to “radically enhance how people do business”, Dunn chairs the global social finance initiative B1G1: Business for Good, a cause that resonates strongly with Hawke as well.
“Paul is an expert in the field of small business – he’s great at helping business owners build their businesses and achieve seriously new highs,” Hawke says.
A heavily subsidised event with capacity for 300 people, early bird tickets are only $79 per ticket, with part of that going to the B1G1 charity, and the Times has two tickets to give away.
“When people buy these tickets, something amazing happens,” says Hawke.
“They get a seat to the event and help feed an impoverished child in New Zealand for a week, provide an ill child in Kenya with medication for a month or provide a sewing machine to a woman in Bangladesh for a month.
“That’s making a difference.”
Topics covered during the high-energy seminar include how redesigning the smallest business processes make a huge difference.
The unique selling proposition is old hat and what’s really attracting new customers, is now about connecting – not selling and marketing.
Dunn will also investigate how business owners can rekindle their passion and inspire their team; plus how generosity in business proves a vital win-win.
Dunn’s fast-paced, high impact event is credited with showing how tiny actions make a significant difference to a business, quickly.
“The ideas cost nothing to implement because they’re so small, yet the impact they have is profound,” he says.
Unleash the Huge Power of Small is on Monday September 25 from 9.20am to 1.20pm at the Howick Club, 107 Botany Road. Early bird tickets for good cost $79. For more information visit www.businessbuddy.co.nz.
