He has spent most of his adult life travelling the world as an accomplished performer, with New Zealand commanding a special hold on his heart, but the one person Ben Harper always looks forward to coming back to is his mum, Ellen Chase-Verdries. Ben and Ellen’s close bond led them to join forces professionally, on a new album, Childhood Home – a poignant collection of songs about the emotions of family life.
