PROMOTION SUMMARY
1) Asia New Zealand Foundation, Win A Trip To Shanghai promotion with The Hits (“Promotion”)
gives listeners the chance to win a trip for two to Shanghai (“Grand Prize”).
2) The registration period starts at 6:00am on Monday 26th February 2018 and ends 12:00am on
Friday 9
th March 2018.
3) Each weekday, announcers around the country will encourage listeners to call when they hear the
cue to call to get in the draw. They will also encourage listeners to head to thehits.co.nz and
answer ‘what dog has a blue tongue’ to get an entry.
4) Between 3pm – 7pm on Monday 12th February, Stace & Flynny will call and award 1 x winner and
their plus one the Grand Prize.
5) The grand prizes will be booked with each winner’s details as soon as they are awarded.
HOW TO ENTER
1. To enter the Promotion a participant must, during the Promotion Period:
(a) Tune into The Hits daily
(b) Register online at thehits.co.nz by answering ‘What dog has a blue tongue?’
2. 1 x winner from all online entries will be awarded the Grand Prize.
3. Contestants with offensive or inappropriate content or language will be void.
4. By accepting the Grand Prize, participants consent to be photographed and filmed for use on

13. The Grand Prize Winner and their companions must arrange and pay for their own travel
insurance.
14. The Grand Prize Winner and their companions must be fit for travel to Shanghai.
15. If the Grand Prize Winner or their companions do not meet all criteria, there will be a redraw
from the online entries and the Grand Prize will be awarded to another entrant.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for another prize of similar value (to be
determined by the Promoter) should the prize become available for any reason.
17. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners may be required to sign legal release in
a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
18. Additional expenses incurred as a result of accepting this prize are the Grand Prize Winner’s
responsibility and the Promoter and/or its affiliates accept no liability or responsibility in
respect of the same or for any loss or injury suffered as a result of accepting the prize.

19. These terms and conditions may be amended at any time and the Promotion may be
terminated at any time.
20. Employees and immediate family of The Hits, Asia New Zealand Foundation, Air New Zealand,

21. The Hits and Asia New Zealand Foundation’s decision on all entry and Promotion matters are

22. The Hits and Asia New Zealand Foundation will collect and use, for the purpose of the
Promotion, your personal information. You have the right to request access to and correction
of your personal information (where such information is readily retrievable) by contacting
Qantas.
23. The Hits and Asia New Zealand Foundation will not be liable to any person in any way in
relation to this Promotion including, without limitation, any loss or damage whatsoever
suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury
howsoever suffered or sustained, the cancellation or postponement for any reason of the
Grand Prize and the quality of goods or services supplied by any third party, except for any
liability that cannot be excluded by law.
24. Entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.
25. Any attempt to resell or auction all or any part of this prize will result in an immediate
cancellation of the prize.
26. The Grand Prize is non-transferrable, refundable and cannot be exchanged for money.
27. You are entering the draw for return economy tickets for two to Shanghai on Air New Zealand
operated flights. Participation in the draw is limited to one entry per person.
28. The competition is open from Monday 26 February to Friday 09 March 2018.
29. The winner will be randomly drawn from all valid entries between the dates of Monday 26
February 2018 to Friday 09 March 2018. Attempts will be made to notify the winner on
Monday, 12 March 2018 by phone provided on the promotion entry. If Air New Zealand,
having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner prior to 17:00 pm Wednesday
14 March 2018, then the prize is forfeited and a further draw(s) will be conducted. The judge’s
decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
30. Air New Zealand, its employees and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Air New
Zealand reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
31. The prize is return tickets for the winner and one other person from Auckland or Christchurch
to Shanghai on Air New Zealand in economy class. The winner is responsible for paying all
additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included, including (where
applicable) transport, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.
32. The prize travel must be taken by 12 March 2019 and is subject to booking and flight
availability.
33. Both passengers must travel on the same flights and dates and must be booked no later than
20 days before departure and ticketed before the 31 July 2018.
34. Flights cannot be taken during peak travel periods between 01 December 2018 & 31 January
2019.
35. The prize cannot be converted into cash and is not transferable.
36. Once ticketed, the conditions and penalties of the fare and/or land arrangements used will
apply, and changes are at the traveller’s expense.
37. Travel is subject to Air New Zealand General Terms and conditions of carriage, to view visit Air
