Flat iron steaks are a new addition to the Silver Fern Farms range and a cut that is completely new here in NZ.
This full flavoured barbecue (grilling) steak is taken from the shoulder and relies both on expert butcher technique and premium quality beef to produce a flat iron steak.
It is named as such because it looks like an old-fashioned metal flat iron.
The flavour profile is richer and stronger than most of the usual grilling steaks and the texture wonderfully tender.
