When Eleanor Ozich’s four-year-old daughter, Izabella, developed seemingly incurable and severe eczema, she discovered life is never simple.
Finding little explanation from doctors and specialists, she visited a naturopath who diagnosed Izabella as suffering from Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS), a condition from which an imbalance of bad gut bacteria caused the buildup of toxins, resulting in eczema and her extreme mood fluctuations.
To help her daughter manage, Eleanor needed to ensure the youngster eliminated grain, sugar, additives and preservatives from her diet, and adopted a simple, clean way of eating.
