Win a double pass to see "Reaching for the Moon" NZ Booklovers

Frustrated poet Elizabeth Bishop travels to Brazil and encounters beguiling Lota de Macedo Soares. Initial hostilities make way for a complicated yet long lasting love affair that dramatically alters Bishop’s relationship with the world around her. Set amidst the extraordinarily beautiful tropical gardens of de Macedo Soares’s and anchored by magnificent lead performances from Miranda Otto and Gloria Pires, Reaching for the Moon is an intimate snapshot of the search for inspiration, wherever and however you find it.
Reaching for the Moon is based on the book Rare and Commonplace Flowers: The Story of Elizabeth Bishop and Lota De Macedo Soares, by By Carmen L. Oliveira. The film opens at Rialto Newmarket and Dunedin as well as Dome Gisborne and Tivoli Cambridge on October 2 and then opens in other cinemas throughout New Zealand over the following two weeks.
