A new book for children published this month by the award-winning writer and illustrator Gavin Bishop has all the hallmarks of a new children’s classic.
Teddy One-Eye is the tender, moving and in parts scary story of a boy — simplyknown as ‘Boy’ — and his adored teddy bear.
We are first introduced to Teddy in1950. He comes into Boy’s life when Boy’s mother has a new baby. As happens
with favourite teddy bears, he’s dragged around, inside and out, put on bikes, placed in wheelbarrows and taken on all sorts of adventures. As Teddy tells his story, he’s also telling us Boy’s story.
We have 2 copies per week – over the next 3 weeks – to give away of Teddy One Eye.
